Matt Schrampfer

Matt Schrampfer found a deep passion and love for the art of music and performance at an early age, first learning to play bass at the age of 12.

Over the years, Matt has also learned how to play guitar and mandolin, developing a keen ear for improvisations and leads.

Matt played with The Hounds of Dublin out at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival from 2019-2024, and has since stepped back to only being an occasional honorary member. He will be playing with The Mourning Wood in the 2025 Minnesota Renaissance Festival season.

Matt has also been playing bass for Twin Cities death metal outfit Begravement since 2020, as well as his new doom metal project Enigmatus since 2022, for which he performs guitar and vocals.
